This map of the Thames derives from an original published by William Tombleson in 1834.

'The fatal Niger, the mighty Amerzon (sic), the turpid Mississippi, the picturesque and historic Rhine, the rushing Danube, and the classic Tiber, have each their scenes, their stories, and associations; but commend us the river, whose bosom bears the ships of all nations, freighted with richest and rarest products of the earth - whose warehouses hold in plenteous abundance the harvest of all climes, and whose commerce is told in every language man can speak.' (Illustrated London News)

A map of the Thames in vertical format showing the course of the river from source near Cirencester to the sea at the Nore (Sheerness).

This map may also be custom printed in other sizes to suit your individual requirement. Please contact us for further details.
