Uncoloured soft-ground etching, 'drawn and etched by Sam[ue]l Prout. Date and publication details not present, but (according to the BM, '9 October 1815 by Thomas Palser, Surrey Side, Westminster Bridge, London.'
Generally good condition, some overall toning to the paper in accordance to age. A water stain at top centre, but not impinging on the image. A few creases that would very likely be remedied by dampening and pressing.
According to Jan Piggott in his essay concerning Samuel Prout in Dulwich this is, "a magnificent careful study of Edward Alleyn’s wooden windmill ... the mill stood where the front lawns of the College now face Pond Cottages."
