In generally good condition: a firm impression and neatly coloured; some (?water) staining to the left-hand side; good borders all round; 'No 52', in manuscript at top right corner.
Moll's (glowing) description off this map runs as follows: "Port Royal River lies 20 Leagues from Ashley River S.W. it has a bold entrance 19 or 20 Foot at Low-Water, the Harbour is large, safe, and commodious and runs into ye best Country in Carolina. Here ye Air is always cleer and agreeable to Europian constitutions".
