Colour lithograph designed by Harry Beck, published by London Transport, 1946.

Image size: 5 1/2 x 8 5/8 inches.

Very good condition throughout, vertical folds as issued.

This map shows a somewhat subdued London Underground in a limited palette of just five colours: green (Metropolitan and District), brown (Bakerloo), blue (Piccadilly), red (Central) and black (Northern). It indicates that the Central Line extension to Stratford is under construction and will open in January 1947.
