Generally good condition with only minor staining; central fold, as issued showing some sign of wear.
Squared off into one mile squares, likewise in circles; shows the four mile cab radius from Charing Cross, overground and underground railways.
George Washington Bacon (1830-1922) was a London based book and map publisher throughout the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth century when the firm was amalgamated into the Scottish house of W. & A.K. Johnston.
