Generally good condition throughout, a firm impression with clear colouring. Faint staining to left-hand quarter.
This map shows the boundries of the states of North and South Carolina as they existed at this date, along with the main habitations, rivers and the few roads. The Remark states, 'the English claim the Property of Carolina from Lat 29 &c. Degrees as part of Cabot's Discorveries who set out from Bristol in 1498 ... But they did not take Possesion of that Country till King Charles the II's time in 1663'.
