The Island Of Bermudos
Copper engraving with original outline colour drawn and published by Hermann Moll as part of his Atlas Minor, or a New and Curious Set of Sixty-Two Maps ... Agreeable to Modern History, 1729.
Image size: 8 3/4" x 11" approx., plus borders.
Generally good condition throughout, a firm impression with clear colouring. Faint staining is just evident in the left-hand quarter.
Divided into two sections: the upper shows the complex of islands that together comprise Bermuda; displaying the Shires, Tribes, ports and few existing habitations. Below is a plan of Hog Island (nowadays, Parasise Island) which lies off [New] Providence Island in the Bahamas.
